Seminar Leader
Our vision is to see Jesus magnified and to see the Church build bridges between denominations, promote racial healing and seek to love the hurting and disenfranchised. We believe that when prayer and evangelism are reunited that the Church will emerge as a powerful force for reclaiming the land and setting the captives free.
“Prayer should primarily be spent on the lost world.” - Terry Teykl.
Church Consultants
Our local church consultants are trained to work with your congregation to motivate and institute new prayer ministries. In many cases there are trained teachers from your own geographic area.
- Jan Goff jangof1@comcast.net
Jan is Dr. Teykl's conference coordinator, but is available to work with local churches for prayer retreats, planning committees or seminars. She has a good understanding of how to best use the Prayer Point resources to help your church start dynamic prayer ministries. Jan lives in Indiana and can be reached by e-mail. - Lynn Ponder lponder@swbell.net

How to Promote Your Event
80% of all people attending prayer events state they attended
because their pastor encouraged them to be there.
- Have a luncheon/breakfast 4 months before the event and invite pastors from your area or district. Show a video of Terry teaching and share your heart about having the prayer event in your area. The luncheon/breakfast can be closer to the time of the school.
- Form a steering committee of pastors to help do the work and promote the prayer event. Suggested work areas: prayer, registration, finances, publicity, worship, music, facility, sound system, refreshments, and accommodations. Feel free to add or combine work areas.
- Design a master for bulletin inserts and a cover letter from the steering committee. Have pastors that are excited about the prayer event meet with other pastors face to face to pass out these packets. Remember that your job is to reach the pastors. If pastors are excited, they will get their people there (instruct churches to use their bulletin inserts at least twice just prior to the prayer event).
- Newspaper, direct mail, posters and radio or TV are all good supplemental methods of promoting your prayer event. Do not rely on them to bring people to the event. If the pastors do not have a heart for the message, they will not encourage their people to be there.
- Note for District events: Ask the District Superintendent to encourage their churches to participate. Local churches that have hosted prayer events and counted on a brochure sent to the district churches have not been as successful as those that have either worked with a cluster of churches or with the District Superintendent to promote the event.
- Note about posters & brochures: Free downloads are available on the home page under the seminar materials link. You may design your own use any of the designs we have.
